Delaware, Donuts & Donkey Kong

There isn't gonna be any blogging about Donkey Kong. I just liked to have it in the title. After a trainride to Wilmington, with a guy complaining to us about making a phonecall in the silent car, we were picked up by Firery and Del. It's great to see old friends again, and great to sit on their porch again with all the cats and birds and chickens around.

Firery and Del took us to a real donut bakery shop. We always wondered how they made these weird buns with a hole in it. Miranda said they just baked them in a donut shape thingy, myself I always thought they were made by sticking unbaked buns on a broomstick. Turns out there is a machine that makes them for you. People put mixed eggs, milk and flour in on one side, and on the other side the ready made donuts come out. All there is to be done is to decorate them with all kinds of colors.
Another great innovation invented by the Americans is the umbrella bags we saw at the entrance of a bar. Together with Firery and Del's collegues we had a drink and mexican nacho food with great green stuff. One of their collegues, a very nice man called Dave, was a big Trump supporter. Well, we think so, because he couldn't stop talking about Trump. And even though he said he was sorry a lot we enjoyed his stories. There was a guy called Bob too. He told us about 39 test drives he made before choosing the car he eventually bought. If you make 39 test drives in Holland you'd have seen the whole country. Anyway, as we walked out of the bar we found these umbrella bags at the door. Imagine, it rains and you walk to a bar under an umbrella. As you enter the bar your umbrella will be wet, leaving water on the floor. This problem is history now, for now we have the umbrella bag! You put your wet umbrella in a bag, and when you walk out again no one can see your dry umbrella. It will still be wet, as if you never entered a bar at all!
